The SIU Carbondale Department of Public Safety provides the following

Security Pass Program

  • Issuance of passes for authorized access and utilization of building(s) after normal business hours
  • Requires written requests from the departmental chairperson or designate
  • Point of Contact: Lt. Ryan House, 453-3771

Fingerprinting

  • Monday thru Friday 8 A.M-4 P.M.
  • Trueblood Hall, Ground Floor
  • Fee: $5.00
  • Must provide photo identification

Background Checks

  • Conducted for official purposes upon written requests by law enforcement and judicial agencies
  • Conducted for employment purposes upon written request accompanied by signed authorization/release of information form
